The Subhadra portal now offers an Opt-In facility that allows individuals who mistakenly opted out of the scheme to re-enroll. According to an official press release, more than 8,000 applicants have already availed themselves of this opportunity and have been successfully included back under the scheme. The Women & Child Development (W&CD) Department has encouraged those who mistakenly opted out to make use of the new facility to ensure their inclusion.
In related news, the first installment’s fourth phase is scheduled to be paid out shortly. Nevertheless, more than two lakh applicants have not yet finished their e-KYC verification. Eligible recipients will have trouble getting their money if this step is skipped. The W&CD Department has advised candidates to finish their e-KYC as soon as possible. Beneficiaries can use the biometric approach at the Jan Seva Kendra or Mo Seva Kendra that is closest to them. To guarantee the smooth delivery of benefits to all qualified persons, this step is essential.
