The Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) has elected Pankaj Lochan Mohanty as its president without any opposition. With complete dedication, he took on the role of President with immediate effect ¹.
“I will coordinate with the new government to expedite the stadium renovation work that was left pending from the previous government within seven to eight months,” Mohanty said, outlining his ambitions. I’ll do my best to achieve whatever is within my power.
Additionally, he revealed intentions to build a cricket academy in Puri where players will get year-round instruction. “If children receive training at our own academy, we can produce skilled players within the next two to three years,” Mohanty said, expressing his hope.
Mohanty said that there would be another election for the vice presidential position. He also talked about the current lighting problems, saying that the OCA has given the government explanations for what happened. Mohanty declared that two generators will be placed close to each lighting site in order to stop such occurrences.
