Perfection: Created with a Sane and Ticking Mind!

By Abhishek Haridasan

To achieve perfection, you need to start somewhere and work towards it successfully. Don’t be under the impression that perfection happens overnight or through divine intervention. It’s a combination of relentless pursuit of improvement, a little luck, belief in the divine and the never-say-die spirit. Anything else is a complete mystery with cacophony as a friend.

Bring out the truth in the open, please! Don’t let there be an illusion of perfection. What’s perfect for millions, might be the diametrical opposite for others, and make no sense for anyone in between.

The examples of Roger Federer, Rafael Badal, Sachin Tendulkar, Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods, Serena Williams, Mithali Raj and others come to mind. All of them achieved perfection in their trade because they worked hard, failed fast and improved with each passing day. When others were resting, they were sweating it out, playing out various situations in their heads and never letting go, until they got answers. Their pursuit to achieve perfection began and ended with sweat, toil and resilience, backed by investing years in becoming the best ever!

The next time someone says that perfection is an illusion and a mirage seen from the windshield, knock some sense into them and tell them to get to work; put a decade into things they love and watch how they get perfect at it.

Perfection; well definitely a reality that we take into our stride and work harder to make more goalposts and strike gold!
