At Chandikhole in the Jajpur district on Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi dedicated many development projects valued at over Rs 19,600 crore and laid the foundation stone for them. The projects are related to transportation and roadways, atomic energy, oil and gas, and railroads. In an official press release, the prime minister remarked that a fresh stream of development began flowing in Jajpur and Odisha today thanks to the blessings of Lord Jagannath and Maa Birja. As the Prime Minister observed Biju Patnaik’s Jayanti, he recalled his unparalleled service to the country and Odisha.
The Prime Minister noted that today marks the inauguration and foundation stone laying of massive development projects worth roughly Rs 20,000 crores in the areas of atomic energy, natural gas, petroleum, roads, railways, and connectivity. He claimed that these projects will increase industrial activity in the area and generate new job opportunities. He commended the Odisha people for their current development initiatives.
The Prime Minister presented the government’s plan to address the immediate needs of the country while attempting to find a solution for Viksit Bharat. He brought up the initiatives to improve the Eastern states’ energy-related capacities. Major projects for the provision of natural gas are under way in the five major states of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, and Odisha under the Urja Ganaga Yojana.
PM Modi inaugurated a 344 km long product pipeline from Paradip in Odisha to Haldia in West Bengal. He also inaugurated the Indian Oil Corporation Limited Mono Ethylene Glycol project in Paradip Refinery and 0.6 MMTPA LPG Import facility at Paradip which will bring a revolutionary change in the polyester industry of eastern India. This will also provide raw materials to the textile park in Bhadrak and Paradip.
