The inaugural 16-coach Namo Bharat Rapid Rail service between Jayanagar and Patna via Samastipur will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on April 24. The official schedule for the service has been announced by the railway administration, which has finished all launch preparations. The train would leave Jaynagar at 11:40 AM on April 24 and reach Madhubani at 12:25 PM, Sakri at 12:55 PM, Darbhanga at 1:40 PM, and Samastipur at 3:00 PM, according to Vinay Srivastava, Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of Samastipur division, who spoke to IANS. It will then proceed to Barauni at 4:15 PM, Mokama at 5:15 PM, and finally arrive in Patna at 6:30 PM.
The trip will take the train four hours and fifty minutes, and it will run six days a week. The rail carriages would have contemporary facilities in every cabin and resemble metro coaches, DRM Srivastava added. “It’s good that Samastipur has these express trains,” he stated. Train services will be available starting on April 24. Amrit Bharat Express between Lokmanya Tilak Terminus and Saharsa Additionally, on April 24, a new Amrit Bharat train will start running between Saharsa and the Lokmanya Tilak Terminus in Mumbai. On April 25, it will leave Saharsa at 11:40 AM and reach Samastipur at 3:00 PM. From there, it will go through Muzaffarpur, Patna, and Danapur before arriving at Lokmanya Tilak at 11:30 PM.
Eleven general coaches, eight sleeper coaches, and coaches for the disabled, with luggage and guard vans, will make up this completely non-air-conditioned train.
