Additionally, Sharma disclosed that 22 Amrit Bharat Railway stations within the East Coast Railway zone—which includes portions of the states of Andhra Pradesh and Chattisgarh—will have their foundation stones placed at a sanctioned cost of Rs. 790 Cr. It is anticipated that this program will improve station amenities, resulting in more comfortable travel for customers. Sambalpur City, Jharsuguda Rd., Titlagarh, Kesinga, Rayagada, Paralakhemundi, Koraput, Jeypore, Talcher, Raghunathpur, Paradeep, Kendujhargarh, Bhadrak, Araku, Kottavalasa, and Ichachapuram are the stations. Odisha is experiencing a notable upsurge in infrastructure development, according to the ECoR GM. Of the 52 Road Over Bridges (ROB) and Road Under Bridges (RUB) projects slated for dedication or foundation laying, 52 are currently under construction. For all of these, the total project cost is Rs. 1420 Cr. Thirty ROB/RUBs with an estimated total cost of Rs. 1288 Cr are planned for development in the East Coast Railway zone alone. Better station accessibility, an air concourse, a bigger Foot Over Bridge (FOB), waiting places, restrooms, elevator and escalator installations, and increased cleanliness are all promised by the Amrit station renovation project. He also mentioned that free Wi-Fi, local product kiosks, executive lounges, and conference rooms are among the services that travelers may anticipate.
In a similar vein, he continued, ROB/RUB initiatives seek to improve public welfare by removing obstacles to traffic, boosting safety, and increasing overall transportation effectiveness.
