A POCSO court allowed the Special Investigation Team (SIT) of Odisha Crime Branch to take the accused arrested on a three-day remand in association with the kidnap and murder of five-year-old Nayagarh girl-‘Pari’.

The accused who was conferred as a major before the court by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) pleaded guilty stating that he is innocent and has no connection with the case.

The sister of the accused alleged that her brother was physically abused and was forced to confess to the crime which apparently according to her he did not commit. She further says that her brother needs to be saved by the police and he was not involved in the crime.

‘Pari’ mother Saudamini Sahoo and the other family members accuse Bahuli Nayak and his son with others. They stated that Minister Arun Sahoo is covering up the accused and because of which strict actions should be taken against him.

The man who is arrested in this case is the prime suspect and any of his associates’ involvement in the case is still under investigation.
