Prasad Harichandan Appointed Odisha Congress Election Management Committee Chairman

A 26-member Odisha PCC Election Management Committee was announced by the All India Congress Committee (AICC) on Wednesday in anticipation of the state’s upcoming Lok Sabha and Assembly elections.

The AICC general secretary, KC Venugopal, issued a statement saying, “The Congress President has approved the proposal for constitution of Odisha PCC Election Management Committee for ensuing General elections to Lok Sabha and Odisha Legislative Assembly 2024.”

The Committee has nominated Prasad Harichandan as its chairman. The committee has appointed Manoranjan Das as its convenor, and Bankanidhi Behera and Vikash Garabadu as joint convenors.

Members of the Committee include Niranjan Patnaik, Jaydev Jena, Bhakta Charan Das, Srikant Jena, Susila Tiria, Sarat Rlout, Ramachandra Khuntia, Bijay Kumar Patnaik, Panchanan Kanungo, Jagannath Patnaik, Nakul Naik, Nabajyoti Patnaik, Manas Choudhury, Hamid Hussain, Bandita Parida, Subhendu Mohanty, Manoj Jena, Debashish Bhuyian, Sitansu Das, Kishore Jena, Loknath Maharathy, and Rajiv Patnaik.

Ex-officio members of the Committee include all former presidents, leaders of the CLP in Odisha, employees deputed from the AICC for Odisha, heads of frontal organizations, departments, and cells of the Odisha PCC, and the chairman of the War Room, Media & Communication Department, Social Media & Digital Platforms, and War Room.
