Prez Droupadi Murmu, PM Modi pay tributes at Rajghat

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday paid floral tributes to the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi in the national capital on the occasion of 154th Gandhi Jayanti.

PM Modi led the tributes for Gandhiji on social media and said that his impact is global and motivating the entire humankind to further the spirit of unity and compassion.

Taking to his X (Twitter handle), PM Modi shared, “I bow to Mahatma Gandhi on the special occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. His timeless teachings continue to illuminate our path. May we always work towards fulfilling his dreams. May his thoughts enable every youngster be the agent of change he dreamt of, fostering unity and harmony all over.”

BJP National Vice President Baijayant Panda wrote, “On the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi ji, who gave the message of truth and non-violence to the world, and Lal Bahadur Shastri ji, the former Prime Minister of the country and the true son of Mother India, we pay our respects to both the great men.”

Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik also paid his humble tributes to Gandhiji and Lal Bahadur Shastri.

“Humble tributes to Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the Nation and greatest proponent of peace and non-violence on Gandhi Jayanti. His ideals of non-violence, peace, tolerance and unwavering dedication to the cause of India’s freedom struggle will continue to inspire generations to come,” the CM tweeted.
