Priyanka Chopra made a jaw-dropping appearance at the 2025 Met Gala, turning heads in a black-and-white Olivier Rousteing ensemble paired with an extravagant Bulgari necklace featuring a 241-carat emerald. The statement piece drew immediate comparisons to Nita Ambani’s iconic 2024 emerald necklace—famously described as the size of a “Vim Bar”—worn in Jamnagar.
Jewellery expert and influencer Julia Chafe, known for her commentary on celebrity fashion and the Ambani family’s luxurious collection, praised Priyanka’s necklace in a May 6 Instagram video titled ‘Priyanka Chopra’s 241-Carat Emerald Brick’. Highlighting its vivid hue and size, Chafe remarked, “Priyanka Chopra wearing a 241-carat emerald brick to the Met Gala is exactly what I wanted from her… To say this isn’t one of the best jewellery looks of the night would just be wrong.”
Chafe also noted the emerald’s rare brilliance: “As someone who deals in emeralds, let me tell you, emerald colour doesn’t usually show up on camera. The fact that this one did? In real life, you’d throw up and die looking at this necklace.”
Priyanka completed her bold look with a white halter-neck dress featuring black polka dots and a dramatic black wide-brim hat. Her husband, singer Nick Jonas, complemented her in classic black slacks and an off-white shirt with a tied scarf.
The couple, who first walked the Met Gala red carpet together in 2017, marked their fourth joint appearance at the event this year. Priyanka, now a Met Gala veteran, has attended five times, even co-chairing the gala in 2019.
