Be it the festivals of the Country of Culture India, to the values of Parents or making people aware of social conflicts , she has always  spoken her hearts in the form of poetry. Let us have an Exclusive interview with Poetess Promila for the International Author’s Conference Japan 2024.

Q1) Welcome to the International Author’s Conference Poetess Promila. We came across your book “ Mera to Ye Mai Bhi Nahi .” Tell us what inspired you to create such a masterpiece ?

Ans : “Mera to yeh mai bhi nahi” is a Poetic autobiography and has beautiful lyrical words which lead to the feeling of eternity and bliss. I have been writing about this for many years and still write on those lines and have plans to update to newer added poetry versions in future.

Q2) You have always been someone who is very entwined with the culture. One of your poems is also inspired by Mahabharata. What were the thoughts in your mind before writing this poem ? Are there any personal life lessons who have learnt by reading Dharma Granth Mahabharat?

Ans : I am a product of KV Southern Command (Kendriya Vidyalaya), Pune and the teachings have been given to me by my Teachers who I owe my learnings to. I am blessed to have such Teachers in my life who gave me learnings from every aspect of life. I cannot be thankful enough to my Mother who has also played a key role in making me who I am today. My Poetries are very much based on Geeta and Sanatan teachings as the teachings in Dharma and Sanatan are eternal.

Q3) The number of books in Hindi worldwide is comparatively less than English or predominantly few other languages, Do you find it a challenge the reach the audience in an international platform ?

Ans : I write in Hindi because I can write in Hindi at my best with my heart, then comes the segment of people reading my Book. I won’t mind the lesser segment of people reading my books as long as the intent and meaning of my Book is reached. And India is a 1,3 billion society in the world which is good enough. Hindi is one of the major languages in the world which people understand and speak. Although my future Books are coming in English and Norwegian too.

Q4) In your recent interview we are glad that you have tried to spread awareness on the ongoing issue of Manipur. What gave you that inner courage or sense of responsibility to do so ?

Ans : The society we live in and where our roots are from are the basis of our existence. It always gives us, it’s our responsibility to give it back to the society. With my philanthropic work and now in social reform work I am giving it back to society.

Q5) You have created some wonderful compositions so far . Which is your favourite poem and also please do link both of your books “ Ayushya “ and  “Mera toh Ye Mai bhi Nahi “ for our readers.

Ans : For me all my poetries are my babies and I love them all equally but “Mera to yeh mai bhi nahi” has a special place in my heart as it tells about my existence. It has many poetries together but few are deeply rooted to me. And as we all know now it’s a book in itself but it tells about our existence. I love life as life is beautiful.
