Puri Gets Ready To Celebrate Indian Navy Day With Safety Measures In Place

The Puri district appears to be ready for President Droupadi Murmu’s arrival in Odisha, where he will participate in the Indian Navy Day celebration as the chief guest, just a few days away. To ensure the success of the event, Puri Collector Siddharth Shankar Swain underlined the importance of visitors’ cooperation. To make sure the event goes successfully, the district administration is collaborating closely with local authorities and the Indian Navy.

Talking to the media, Puri Collector said, “The Indian Navy is set to showcase its maritime capabilities and operational strength on December 4 at the Blue Flag Beach in Puri to mark Navy Day which coincides with Prez Murmu’s visit. As part of the measures, drones will not be flown from December 1 to December 4.

He further stated, “As aerial operations will be held, the administration has declared no flying zone. Special care will be taken to ensure birds will not fly during the aerial operation. Besides, people residing near the beach have been asked not to feed birds on the rooftop as part of measures to save birds. Besides, boating is not permissible in that locality during the operations. We need cooperation from visitors to make it a successful event.”

OpDemo2024 will highlight the Indian Navy’s diverse capabilities and raise public awareness of maritime issues.
