Puri Jagannath Temple To Soon Have Dedicated Breastfeeding Room

In an endearing move, the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) intends to establish a separate baby feeding area on the temple grounds to meet the unique requirements of nursing moms and their babies. The goal of this project is to give nursing moms a secluded, sanitary, and pleasant environment. SJTA used its X account to tweet about this development.

The nursing area will be situated on the temple grounds, next to the administrative office of the temple administration branch, according to SJTA. The layout of the space will provide comfort, hygiene, and seclusion for both moms and babies. The room will be run by a committed female helper. In the meantime, departmental officials have been directed by the temple administration, which is headed by Chief Administrator Dr. Arabinda Kumar Padhee, to carry out this effort as soon as possible, making sure that the chamber is furnished to accommodate nursing mothers and their babies.

After talking about the issue, Padhee, SP Pinak Mishra, Policy Administrator Jitendra Sahu, Senior Supervisor Baksi Pratihari, Assistant Administrator Shubhashree Suchismita, and other authorities decided on a good site for the lactation room. Long-standing calls for such a facility led to this decision, especially in light of the high volume of female devotees who frequent the temple.
