Raghubar Das To Swear In As Odisha Guv On Oct 31

On October 31, Raghubar Das, a seasoned BJP leader and former Jharkhand chief minister, is anticipated to take the oath of office as Odisha’s 26th governor. The swearing-in ceremony is set to take place at Bhubaneswar’s Raj Bhavan on October 31 at 11.45 a.m. On Monday morning, the Governor-designate Das is scheduled to arrive in Puri via train.

Later on, he will pray at Puri’s Shree Jagannath Temple. Before taking the oath on October 31, he is probably going to pray at the Lord Lingaraj Temple in Bhubaneswar to ask for the Lord’s blessings. President Droupadi Murmu named Das the new governor of Odisha on October 18. He took over for outgoing Governor Professor Ganeshi Lal, who on Friday bid the state farewell and returned to his native Haryana.

From 2014 to 2019, Das served as Jharkhand’s chief minister.
