Railway Minister Vaishnaw Reviews Ongoing Projects In Odisha

Minister of Railways Ashwini Vaishnaw examined the progress of ongoing projects and traffic facility construction in ECoR jurisdiction during a two-day visit to Bhubaneswar. In addition to the state of railway station redevelopment, an official press release stated that the review meeting focused on the advancement of supercritical and public-centric railway projects in the state, including rail line connectivity to various mineral belts, ports, and industries. Later on in the evening, Vaishnaw conducted an inspection of Puri Railway Station and assessed the state of the station’s renovation.

Vaishnaw emphasized speedier coal transit to various ports, businesses, and power plants when summarizing the discussion. He also stressed the importance of ports, industry, and rail lines connecting to the mining belts. Additionally, he prioritized the 40,000 km rail line expansion of the three proposed freight corridors in order to expedite freight transit without interfering with coaching trains.

Aside from this, the renovation project for the railway stations in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, and Puri is well underway and moving forward faster than anticipated.
