After two days of intermittent rain, a change in the weather condition will happen from today as the depression over Bay of Bengal weakened into a well-marked low pressure.
“The depression over westcentral Bay of Bengal moved east-northeastwards and weakened into a well-marked low pressure area over the same region. The well-marked low-pressure area is likely to persist over the region for next 24 hours and weaken gradually thereafter over the Sea,” the IMD said.
On December 22, it is quite probable that light rain will fall in one or two locations in Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, Koraput, and Malkangiri. According to the IMD, there is a high probability of dense fog in one or two locations across the districts of Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Keonjhar, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, and Koraput. On Sunday morning, cloudy conditions dominated many coastal areas of Odisha, including the twin cities of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar.
