The IMD has reproted thatseveral parts of Odisha will receive moderate to heavy rainfall in couple of days. A Yellow warning was issued at 9 AM where the Meteorological Centre forcasted moderate rainfall to thunderstorms on several parts of Odisha including Ganjam, Gajapati, Nayagarh, Kandhamal, Puri, Khurda (including Bhubaneswar), Cuttack (including Cuttack city), Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Bhadrak and Balasore.

The rainfall is due to the yet another low pressure created over Bay of Bnegal. Just a few days back, an extreme low pressure was created over Bay Of Bengal which potentially converted into Cyclonic depression and was on board to hit Odisha. However, just before hitting Puri, the cyclone weakened and turned into heavy depression.
