The News Broadcasters Association (NBA) has appointed Rajat Sharma as the editor-in-chief of India TV Channel, for another term. A statement issued by the NBA said this on Thursday. At the NBA board meeting, members unanimously asked Rajat Sharma, the head and editor-in-chief of India TV, to remain president for 2020-21.
Similarly, Anuradha Prasad Shukla, Chairman and Managing Director, News 24 Broadcast India Limited, has been elected Vice President of the Board Association. The Times Network-Bennett Coleman & Managing Director and CEO M.K. Anand has been elected treasurer of the association for 2020-21.
Addressing the board meeting, President Sharma said the government had for the first time announced an essential service in the corona virus epidemic. Accordingly, news channels, staff and cameramen risked their lives to spread the news spontaneously. The number of television viewers in the long lockdown has also increased significantly. Sharma thanked all the editors, journalists, cameramen, producers and editors of all the news television channels. At the same time, some news channels have been calling for the release of irregularities. However, such channels were not members of the NBA. However, Sharma said the NBA members were working hard to resolve the issue.
