Ravenshaw University has received an A++ rating from the University Grants Commission (UGC)’s National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). With an A++ grade, it is the first public university in Odisha. Between November 20 and 22, members of the NAAC committee visited Ravenshaw University and evaluated its faculty, other facilities, and infrastructure. Ravenshaw University has been granted a criterion-wise weightage grade point (CrWGP) of 3,582 out of 1000 weightage by the NAAC.
A total of ten grade points were awarded to the university: three for curriculum aspects, three for teaching-learning and evaluation, three for research, innovations, and extension, three for infrastructure and learning resources, three for student support and progression, three for governance, leadership, and management, three for institutional values and best practices, and three for infrastructure and learning resources.
During their visit, the NAAC committee evaluated Ravenshaw University based on seven criteria: curriculum components; governance, leadership and management; teaching-learning and evaluation; research, innovations, and extension; infrastructure and learning resources; student support and advancement; and institutional values and best practices.
