Russia-Ukraine War: 22 Students Of Odisha Return To Their Homeland

The Russia-Ukraine war has left thousands of Indian resients in Ukraine life at risk. While Russia as well as Ukraine have ensured safety of Indian residents and students to Prome Minsiter Narendra Modi, yet regular bombarding has already resulted death of a student from India. The people are living their lives in fear and are standard in clusters in basements or metros.

However, the Indian government is trying hard to get back its people to our country. Over 616 people of India were bought back yesterday. In the last 24 hours 22 students from Odisha have also managed to reach India. However, still hundreds remain in the country of Ukraine.

Meanwhile, the Odisha government was able to contact 118 stranded students till Tuesday evening and has received an additional list of 428 students from the Home Ministry.  “The control room is discussing with them their current condition and are intimating the guardians. We are discussing the evacuation plan. Many are saying they will exit Ukraine through Poland and Hungary border,” Joint commissioner (relief), SRC office, Padmanav Behera told TOI.

The government, however, has no details of the cities where the students are stranded and how many of them are girls.
