Indian Navy has teamed up with the Maruti Suzuki India, to spread awareness among the young people in thby northeast about career opportunities through the ‘Khamree Mo Sikkim’ outreach program.

The partnership between the Indian Navy and Maruti Suzuki India has sparked an exciting journey to inspire aspiration in the young people of the Northeast. On September 24, just as the sun was setting, the Lonavala Naval Base’s engines came to life. It was the start of the outreach programme “Khamree Mo Sikkim,” a 6,500-kilometer journey that promised to be more than simply a journey. With their spirits as unbreakable as the tough Maruti Suzuki Jimny off-road vehicles they rode in, a powerful team of 45 experienced soldiers from the Navy set off on their epic expedition. They were accompanied by two Grand Vitara ALL GRIP flagship SUVs, representing the steadfast commitment to reaching every area of the Northeast and igniting the hopes of its young people.

 

The Indian Navy aimed to open up a world of possibilities for the young minds of the Northeast through this amazing alliance. As a metaphor for the many employment options, the lush scenery, twisting roads, and fascinating civilizations that will be visited along the voyage were used. There was more than just a physical route ahead; it was a journey that would lead to goals, bravery, and dreams discovered.

 

The Navy-Maruti convoy became a symbol of optimism as they made their way through the difficult terrain, proving that the road to success was not only feasible but also exciting. Along the way, they interacted with local communities, held seminars, and encouraged a great number of young people to go on their own journeys, certain that the Indian Navy was a devoted ally in their quest for greatness. The “Khamree Mo Sikkim” outreach programme is more than simply a road trip; it was a life-changing journey that revealed the endless opportunities waiting for the brightest young talent in the Northeast.

A team of 45 Navy officials is embarking on this journey in five vehicles, including three rugged Maruti Suzuki Jimny off-roaders and two flagship Grand Vitara ALL GRIP SUVs.

They will be on the road for the next few weeks, covering a wide range of destinations, from Mhow to Hyderabad, with stops in Lucknow, Varanasi, Gangtok, Bhubaneswar and more.Commodore Mohit Goel, Commanding Officer of INS Shivaji, highlighted the collaborative effort to contribute to Northeast India’s progress and well-being.A welcome program is organised in Bhubaneswer by Game change and tushi motors and where  officials of indian navy,Preeti Pallavi Patnaik (MD, Tushi Motors) , Anshuman Patnaik (Director Tushi Motors), Tamanna Dehury (Game start),Jeet Singh (MD, Amrita builders),Ramesh Mahapatra, (secretary, Kalinga motor sports club) were present.The primary goal is to enlighten and inspire the youth about the numerous opportunities within the Navy while building stronger connections within local communities.

 

This expedition unfolds in three parts, each with a unique focus. The first stretch goes from INS Shivaji to Bagdogra, the second covers Sikkim extensively, and the third stretches from Gangtok, Sikkim, to INS Shivaji, focusing on empowering youth in rural areas along the eastern coastal region.Throughout the journey, the participants will engage closely with local communities, delivering motivational lectures and guidance on defense entrance exams at educational institutions. The rally also promises to immerse itself in history and culture, with visits to significant monuments along the route. This blend of adventure and cultural enrichment promises to make this journey unforgettable.
