Revamping VSSUT, Burla through Institute Development Plan
Second campus of World Skill Centre at Pandra, Bhubaneswar for high-end skill training in Precision Engineering
New campus of Biju Patnaik Film & Television Institute of Odisha and IMIT, Cuttack.
Major Schemes of the Department:
SUDAKHYA – To encourage and incentivise girl students of the State to pursue ITI Training in different Trades
Placement Linked Training Programme – To carry out mobilization, counselling, training and placement of unemployed youth through skill upgradation to enhance their employability
Nano Unicorn – Short-term loan to emerging young entrepreneurs to set up their own enterprise
Model Career Centre (MCC) – To provide counselling services to the job seekers and making them aware of the opportunities based on their skills, area of interest and requirement
Odisha Skill Development Project – To provide short-term skill training to the unemployed youths of the state.
