While being transported to the city’s Government Medical College, Omandurar Government Estate, Balaji was shown on television to be uneasy.Following a protracted interrogation in relation to a money laundering case, the Enforcement Directorate has reportedly arrested Tamil Nadu minister V Senthil Balaji, according to sources acquainted with the matter. Tuesday, the ED investigators conducted a raid on a location connected to Balaji and questioned him about claims made while he served as the transport minister for the AIADMK-led government from 2011 to 2015, before switching to the DMK.
After the Supreme Court permitted a police and ED investigation into an alleged cash-for-jobs scheme against him, the action was taken a few months later.On late Tuesday night, the minister was taken to the intensive care unit (ICU) of a government hospital in Chennai after complaining of chest pain amid rumours over Balaji’s whereabouts. The DMK leader groaned in pain as intense drama played out outside the hospital, with state minister P K Sekar Babu saying that Balaji showed “symptoms” of having been “tortured.”He is in intensive care. When he called him by name, he was unresponsive since he was unconscious. He is being watched; there is a bulge near his ear, and physicians claim his electrocardiogram (ECG) shows a fluctuation. These are signs of torture.
