In an unfortunate incident, two emerging hockey players from the district of Sundargarh have been electrocuted to death. The incident happened at Gariamal village under Rajgangpur block in Sundargarh district on Tuesday. The two young deceased have been identified as Birendra Kujur(15) and Sujal Ekka(17).
Reportedly, the two were returning after a hockey match when they saw an electric pole had fallen on the road. It was when they tried to lift it, that they came in contact with electricity. They were rescued by locals and rushed to Rajgangpur Hospital where the doctor declared them dead.
