He will be in charge of managing all NTPC projects in Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Haryana in addition to the Northern Region Headquarters in Lucknow. He is also responsible for overseeing the project monitoring of all NTPC thermal power plants in his capacity as Executive Director (Project Monitoring). Shri Deb has worked with Maharatna NTPC for about 37 years, holding important positions in operations, project construction, and mechanical maintenance at several NTPC power projects and stations.
After earning a degree in Mechanical Engineering from North Bengal University in Darjeeling, he began working with NTPC in 1988 as an Engineering Executive Trainee. Additionally, he has a PG Diploma in Business Administration from MDI, Gurgaon, and an M.Tech in Industrial Management from IIT Kharagpur. At NTPC projects and offices in Dadri, Farakka, Kahalgaon, Unchahar, Patratu, Talcher Thermal, and HURL, Barauni, Shri Deb has held prior positions. He has held notable leadership roles at Hindustan Urvarak & Rasayan Limited (HURL), Barauni & Head of Project, Talcher Thermal, as well as Regional Executive Director (Hydro) and Business Unit Head (BUH).
Shri Deb is a seasoned power industry veteran who will take NTPC’s Northern Region to new heights with his extensive knowledge and strong leadership.
