There is no better feeling in the world than a warm pizza box on your table. Moreover, if the Pizza is delicious, you are certainly visiting heaven with every bite of it. Lapinoz Pizza is known for providing some of the best quality pizzas. Moreover, apart from Pizzas, they provide veg and non-veg menus during dining time. Interview Times had a great conversation with the franchise owner of Lapinoz Pizza, Shweta Saran, and got to know more about the food outlet. This is how the interview went-
When did you decide to be a franchise owner of a brand like LaPinoz Pizza?
Like they say, ‘things happen when they are meant to happen.’
Lapinoz franchisee, for me, is the perfect example of that. My husband tasted Lapinoz pizza in Lucknow, and at once, he fell in love with it, and that’s when he decided to open one in Noida.
I was accompanying him to his meeting with the brand owner, Mr. Sanam Kapoor. After we finished with the meeting and sat in the car, I asked him, what if I run this one for you?’ and he replied, why not’ and since then, there have been no looking back and that is how I ended up being the franchise owner for LaPinoz Pizza.
What were the challenges you faced when you entered the hospitality industry?
Talking about challenges, there have been plenty for me. Being someone from a non-hospitality background, I had a lot to learn. I had to start everything from scratch, and at the same time, lead a team of 20 people. Being a mother of two toddlers was not an easy job either at that point time. Moreover, now I had another baby to take care of.
Hospitality as it is a consumer-centric business, you can not really afford to go wrong. However, maintaining quality, hygiene, and services had been my priority since I started.
Tell us about some exciting delicacies offered on your menu platter?
We have a huge menu and a lot of options for customers to choose from. Be it Pizzas. Pasta, tacos, quesadillas, chicken wings, we serve everything. However, our must-try for veg lovers are Paneer Tikka Butter Masala, Cheezy 7, and Burn to Hell.
For non-veg lovers, peri-peri chicken, Spanish sizzle, and Indian chicken had been our bestsellers. These are just a few names. The rest, I personally feel, all our pizzas are a must-try. as Pizzas are our USP.
How has CO-VID affected your business? Moreover, has there been a positive growth post-CO-VID?
Covid had been really challenging for all of us. We thought things would get to normal with every day passing by, till we accepted that it’s not going anywhere. However, we have been very conscious about safety measures since the pandemic started. No matter how many losses were occurring, we never moved our focus from quality and services, and guess customers saw that. Therefore, our growth had been tremendous post covid even if compared to pre- covid sales, it has been close 40% to 50%growth.
What are your future plans?
For now, I have no concrete plans in my mind. However, I am open to new ideas and will love to explore different business sectors within and outside the food industry.
Today we see so many restaurants get open and shut. What are your suggestions to such franchise owners on how to sustain in the market?
Well, every restaurant has its own struggle; all I would say is, be sensitive to customers’ needs, understand their desire, and work accordingly. We always have choices; we need to choose the right one.
