‘Silver Gandhi’ Movie Wins First Prize At SRFA Cannes Film Fest

Movie ‘Silver Gandhi’ which is produced by Odia Producer Santosh Sethi and directed by Avinash Nanda won the first prize in the SRFA Cannes Film Festival. The movie won the first prize in the Biographical Film Category in the Cannes Film Festival.

The movie is about an inspiring story of Mohan Mahapatra a 22 years old clean India activist from Odisha. The movie is directed from Odisha based director Avinash Nanda and Odis producer Santosh Sethi. Under the category of Biographical Film category the movie won the first prize in teh festival.

Mohan Mahapatra who also known as Sai Ram Gandhi travelled seven stated for spreading the message of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. As a student of theatre in Odisha he went on a padayatra from Shree Jagannath Temple, Puri on 26th June 2016 and later reached Delhi on October 2018. He walked with silver paint on his face along with Mahatma Gandhi attire he walked 2000 Kilometres in those two years of travelling.

Director Avinash Nanda stated that this movie will inspire many people of India which will help them to keep the environment clean and to live a healthy life.
