The Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) celebrated its Silver Jubilee (Soil to Silver) here, with approximately 1 lakh students, faculty, and staff in attendance for the grand opening ceremony.

The Founder of KIIT and KISS, Dr Achyuta Samanta, addressed the gathering and stated that the primary goal of the celebration is to express gratitude to all stakeholders who are connected with the institute and have assisted the Founder in every step of the University’s eventful journey to achieve excellence.

We started from the ground up, from rented housing to one of the largest campuses in the country. This is by no means a minor accomplishment. “I owe this achievement to every one of you who have worked hard and sacrificed a greater part of your lives for the cause of KIIT,” he said, adding that KIIT has achieved several educational milestones over the past 25 years.

The Silver Jubilee celebration will last three months, with the University planning 30 events, including a vice chancellors conference. Each event will focus on a specific theme and will feature speakers from various backgrounds.
