Six naxals killed in encounter in Chhattisgarh

IG Bastar P Sundarraj reported the recovery of six Naxal bodies, including one female, near Chikurbatti-Pusbhaka jungle in Bijapur district.

Bijapur: Six Naxalites, were allegedly shot during a clash with security forces in Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh on Wednesday.

 

 

According to  IG Bastar P Sundarraj six naxal bodies, including one female, have been recovered after an exchange of fire in the forest area near Chikurbatti-Pusbhaka jungle in Bijapur district. This Entire incident was happened near Talperu river close to Chikurbatti area under Basaguda police station, said Bastar Range IG Sundarraj.

 

 

“The operation involving personnel belonging to the District Reserve Guard (DRG), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and its elite unit CoBRA (Commando Battalion for Resolute Action), was launched based on inputs about the presence of Naxalites from People’s Liberation Guerrilla Army (PLGA) platoon no. 10 of Maoists,” he said. According to officials,During search, the team had recovered arms and ammunition along with other material of daily use, the officer stated.

 

 

 

IG Sundarraj  Further  added that yet details are awaited as search operation is still underway, he mentioned. And The area  was restricted falls under the jurisdiction of the Basaguda police station..The explosion took place in the Kirandul police station area during an anti-Naxal operation on Saturday, the Dantewada SP further stated in report.
