SLSWCA Okays Investments Worth Rs 6117 Cr; To Generate Over 17K Jobs

The 135th State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) meeting has drawn a substantial investment of ₹6,117 crores, further solidifying Odisha’s standing as a top investment destination following the success of the Utkarsh Odisha – Make in Odisha Conclave. The meeting, which was presided over by Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja, authorized 19 significant projects that are anticipated to create 17,286 employment opportunities and support the industrial and economic development of the state, according to an official press release.

Under the direction of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Odisha has become a major destination for industrial investments, with a heavy emphasis on expediting clearances and creating an environment that is conducive to business. Projects in ten high-impact industries, including biofuel, biotechnology, shipbuilding, aluminum, food processing, chemicals, apparel, and green energy equipment, have been authorized at this SLSWCA conference. Bolangir, Cuttack, Ganjam, Jajpur, Jagatsinghpur, Jharsuguda, Kalahandi, Khordha, Kandhamal, Rayagada, and Sambalpur are among the 11 districts where these projects would be carried out, guaranteeing balanced industrial growth throughout Odisha.

With these investments, Odisha maintains its rapid industrial growth and employment generation, presenting itself as a top destination for enterprises. In the field of biofuel and green energy, Sai Sudha Motors Private Limited would establish a ₹68.58 crore solar module manufacturing facility in Khordha, producing 350 employment, while Transpacific Engineering Private Limited will spend ₹900 crore in a biocoal plant in Sambalpur, creating 630 jobs. Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited would invest ₹868 crore in pipeline infrastructure to build a high-speed diesel and gasoline pipeline that will span Rayagada, Bolangir, and Kalahandi, creating 168 jobs in the process. In addition, 90 employment will be created when Zoho Corporation Private Limited builds a ₹306.50 crore data center in Khordha.

With SapigenBiologix Private Limited establishing a ₹854.32 crore Vaccine Manufacturing Unit at Odisha Biotech Park, Khordha, the biotechnology and chemicals industry would witness substantial investment, creating 850 employment. RCC Laboratories India Private Limited would spend ₹55.36 crore in a Preclinical Testing and Animal Breeding facility in Khordha, creating 134 jobs, while ARCL Organics Limited will build a ₹500 crore Specialty Chemicals manufacturing complex in Jagatsinghpur, creating 725 jobs.

There will be significant growth in the steel and aluminum industry. For example, Nezone Steels Utkal LLP plans to build a ₹470 crore color coating sheet manufacturing facility in Jajpur, which will create 340 jobs, and CMR Aluminium Private Limited plans to build a ₹234.14 crore liquid aluminum alloy plant in Sambalpur, which will create 200 jobs. Furthermore, a Steel Rolls Manufacturing & Rebuilding facility worth ₹50.10 crore will be established in Jajpur by Corewire Surface Technology Private Limited, creating 85 jobs.

With Chowgule Lavgan Shiprepair Private Limited investing ₹550 crore in a shipbuilding and repair yard in Jagatsinghpur, 1,000 jobs would be created, boosting the shipbuilding and repair industry. With Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Private Limited investing ₹515.32 crore to expand its Food Processing business in Khordha, creating 441 jobs, the food processing industry would see tremendous growth. Furthermore, 400 employment will be created when Geofast Industries (India) Limited opens a ₹108 crore facility in Khordha to produce ready-to-drink beverages, personal care items, condiments, and sauces.
