South Superstar Rajnikanth turned 70 today who will be celebrating his birthday with his close friends and family. The king of South Industry, who is known for his powerful performances and delivering some iconic characters throughout his entire movie career, is now all set to enter the political career.
Earlier Rajinikanth announced that he will be entering politics and will float his part by 2021, which created a storm in social media. The whole nations know the strong fan base he has, and the people who loved him on the big screen are all excited to see his political experience.
Rajnikanth was born in a Marathi family from Bengaluru, and his original name was Shivaji Rao Gaekwad. He struggled a lot in his initial days to mark his place in the industry. Before entering into the movie business, he was working as a bus conductor in Bangalore Transport Service. With his hard work and talent, he marked his place in the South Film Industry. For 45 years now, he has been actively working in the film industry, where he had worked for over 150 films in various languages.
His debut movie was with Tamil film ‘Apoorva Raagangal’ released in 1975, where he portrayed a negative character. The character, as an abusive husband, grabbed much attention from the other directors as well as the audience. Then he worked in many Tamil movies, but in 1977’s Telugu movie ‘Chilakamma Cheppindi,’ he was cast as the lead hero, and after that, his success touched the sky, and the audiences were crazy about his unique style and performances.
He is commonly known as ‘Thalaiva,” which means the leader is a megastar among the South’s people. His birthday is celebrated as a festival in the South every year where almost everyone celebrates it in grand style.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also wished Talaiva in his Twitter handle – “Dear @rajinikanth Ji, wishing you a Happy Birthday! May you lead a long and healthy life.” Suniel Shetty wrote, “He has surely been the biggest inspiration for me and many others. Happiest Birthday to Rajini Sir!Extremely honoured to release our beloved Superstar @rajinikanth Sir’s 70th Birthday CDP.”
