The Mumbai Police on Tuesday arrested a 25-year-old, out-of-work actor for giving death threats to actor Vicky Kaushal and his actress-wife Katrina Kaif on Instagram.
Bollywood actor Vicky Kaushal filed an official complaint at the Santa Cruz police station in Mumbai on Monday.
The accused is identified as Manvinder Singh who is a struggling actor and a hardcore fan of Katrina. He reportedly wanted to marry the beautiful star and often posted overlay videos and morphing images of the actress on social media platforms. Things changed a lot in the months when he allegedly started stalking and harassing Kaif on social media.
Singh appeared in the Bandra court on Tuesday and was detained by the police until July 28, Thursday.
Before VicKat, many B-town celebrities such as Salman Khan and Swara Bhasker were also threatened with murder.
