Before the Odisha Civil Service (Rehabilitation help) Rules, 2020 go into effect, the Odisha Cabinet has made the decision to review all outstanding petitions for rehabilitation help under the 1990 regulations. Due to this ruling, employment under the 1990 guidelines will be available to the families of workers who passed away prior to the 2020 regulations taking effect.
Numerous families will receive relief as a result of the action, which also seeks to decrease the number of ongoing cases in the Supreme Court and High Court. It shows how dedicated the government is to providing respect to the families of fallen personnel.
According to the Odisha Civil Service (Rehabilitation Assistance) Rules, 1990, the state government would assign a family member to Group C or Group D prior to 2020, provided that the district administration obtained a disaster certificate. Families of government workers who passed away between 1990 and 2020 were impacted by the 2020 regulations, which instituted a marking system.
