“State Congress Expels Seven Functionaries Over Alleged Anti-Party Activities”

The State Congress, under the leadership of President Udai Bhan, has expelled seven party functionaries for engaging in anti-party activities during the ongoing municipal elections in Haryana. Among those expelled are Ram Niwas Rara, the Congress candidate from Hisar assembly constituency for the 2024 elections, who lost to Independent candidate Savitri Jindal; former Karnal district Congress president Tarlochan Singh, who contested and lost the 2024 by-poll to Chief Minister Nayab Saini; former Karnal district Congress president Ashok Khurana; Harvinder Singh, state general secretary of the SC department; Madhu Chaudhary, former president of the district youth Congress (urban) in Yamunanagar; Ram Kishan Saini, PCC delegate from Gurgaon; and Pradeep Chaudhary from Yamunanagar.”

“The expulsions come as part of the Congress party’s efforts to maintain discipline and unity ahead of the upcoming elections. The party leadership emphasized that these individuals were found to be working against the party’s interests, which undermined the collective goals during crucial electoral processes. State Congress President Udai Bhan assured that the party would continue to take firm actions against anyone engaging in activities that go against its values and objectives, ensuring a focused and cohesive approach moving forward.”
