The Sundargarh district collector: Pawan Kalyan

Nikhil Pawan Kalyan(Sundargarh collector ensures strict compliance with lockdown norms), the Sundargarh district collector has ruled out loose ends to ensure stern implementation of the lockdown norms to contain the spread of the deadly Covid-19 contagion.

The onus of enforcement of lockdown rests with the respective district collectors and the superintendents of police. And, Kalyan(Sundargarh collector ensures strict compliance with lockdown norms) is one of the gleaming examples of how a man vested with authority can set a precedent for others.

The district administration helmed by Kalyan has warned of stringent action against callous people who violate the government orders on lockdown. Black marketers have also got a taste of the strict recipe of the collector.

On its part, the Sundargarh district administration has taken all precautionary measures to combat Coronavirus.

Kalyan(Sundargarh collector ensures strict compliance with lockdown norms) has made a humble appeal to all residents in Rourkela to order their groceries online to nip black-marketing in the bud.

The administration has made arrangements for doorstep delivery of essential commodities like groceries and vegetables.

The collector informed that the public needs to avoid any nonessential travel and go out only in case of emergencies.

Traveling inside Rourkela town has been restricted except for medical reasons and for airport and bus stand. Thus the police are alert to stop any non-important activity in the time of lockdown.

“However, people need not panic as the shops selling medicines, groceries, vegetables, milk, eggs, daily needs, and food items will be open. The rest other shops will remain closed for the time being. Thus, the people are advised to limit their non-essential trips outside for their own safety”, he adds.

“I once again request if you find anyone in your village or town who has come from abroad, kindly do not panic and inform the authorities immediately. We will send a medical check-up team on the spot and if necessary we will also shift the person to one of our temporary medical camps for observation and treatment”, said Kalyan.
