According to reports, Ashish Mishra’s mother is being treated for a leg deformity at the RML hospital in New Delhi.Ashish Mishra, the main suspect in the 2021 Lakhimpur Kheri riots that claimed eight lives, was given permission by the Supreme Court on Tuesday to travel to Delhi and reside there to take care of his ailing mother and daughter. Mishra, the son of Ajay Mishra Teni, a minister of state in the ministry of home affairs, was given an eight-week interim bail by the top court in January, but he was prohibited from entering either the capital or Uttar Pradesh.
After hearing Mishra’s request for modification of the temporary bail requirement, a bench of Justices Surya Kant and Dipankar Datta ordered him not to speak to the media or take part in any public events related to the case.According to reports, Mishra’s mother is receiving treatment at the RML hospital in New Delhi, while his daughter requires care for leg deformity.Four farmers were killed by an SUV in which Ashish Mishra was seated, according to the UP Police FIR. The SUV’s driver and two BJP volunteers are then said to have been lynched by enraged farmers. A journalist was also killed in the assault, according to the FIR.
