Numerous districts in South Gujarat have waterlogging as a result of the heavy rains.Numerous regions of Gujarat, including Surat, Amreli, and Valsad, saw intense rainfall. Videos from various cities published by ANI demonstrated the serious waterlogging caused by the unrelenting downpour.As stated by ANI, IMD Scientist Pradeep Sharma states that “rains will be in all parts of Gujarat in the next five days.”
The Gujarat Region is under an official alert for extremely heavy rainfall. For Bharuch, Surat, Navsari, Valsad, and Dadra Nagar Haveli, an orange alert has been issued.According to the IMD, Valsad and other Southern Gujarat districts will continue to experience severe rainfall as a result of cyclonic action off the coast, while light to moderate rain is expected throughout the remainder of the state.
According to a report by the Dainik Jagran, images from Surat showed people wading through knee-deep water. Palsana recorded 5.2 inches of rain, while the city of Surat received 3.6 inches. Eleven talukas have reported receiving more than two inches of rain.The IMD claims that because of the cyclonic circumstances, the rainy weather in Gujarat would last longer than previously predicted. Additionally, it has issued a warning that in the coming days, thunder and clouds could produce lightning.
