Another report of alleged police atrocity has surfaced where a 12-year-old boy was allegedly subjected to third-degree torture at SCB Medical police outpost. Arrested on charges of mobile theft by cops of the outpost last Friday, the underage boy was reportedly kept in the custody for three days.
Based on the allegations of custodial torture, the Childline members rescued the boy and took him into their protection. The minor told the Childline members that the police personnel assaulted him with a pipe.
The boy who will be produced before the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) tomorrow alleged, “The police personnel kept me in the cell for three days for stealing mobile. They hit me on the leg, hands, and thigh with the pipe.”
Childline member Narayan Shukla has clarified that if the boy gives his statement before the CWC confirming police excess, FIR will be lodged against the police.
