On Saturday, the chief secretary of Odisha convened a high-level assessment to assess the viability of metro train services on several routes. Other participants were the development commissioner, 5T, transport, and IT secretaries. The metro train service from the Bhubaneswar airport to Trishulia in the first phase has received approval from the Odisha government, according to official sources. The airport, the train station, Vani Vihar, Jaydev Vihar, Patia, Nandankanan, and Trishulia are among the regions it will cover.According to sources, the proposed metro train service will be extended to Puri and will link the holy town with Cuttack and Bhubaneswar.

“I am happy to announce the project to build a metro rail that will link Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, Puri, and Khurda. Several stakeholders have researched the proposal, and feasibility studies have been made. The metro trunk line from Trisulia, near Cuttack, to Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar would be built in the first phase. The path will ostensibly pass through important sites like Nandankanan, Patia, Vani Vihar, the railway station, and others. The project will make it possible for commuters from CTC to visit key areas in Bbsr because it starts close to Subash Bose Setu. The metro would eventually extend to Khurda and Puri, according to CM Naveen Patnaik.

“I’ve urged the Department of Housing and Urban Development to finish the DPR on a war footing. The state government will provide all funding for the project, which will mostly use elevated corridors. As the Metro rail project was approved, Bhubaneswar’s BJP MP Aprajita Sarangi congratulated the citizens of the capital city.
