At Arichal Munai Point, which is close to Dhanushkodi in Tamil Nadu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi engaged in “anulom vilom” practice. On Sunday morning, one day before the pran-pratishtha ceremony of the Ram Lalla idol in Ayodhya, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid a visit to the Arichal Munai, the location from whence the Ram Setu was built, near Dhanushkodi in Tamil Nadu. ‘Anulom vilom’ was practiced by Modi at Arichal Munai Point. Most people agree that Lord Ram made the pledge to vanquish Ravana in Dhanushkodi. From this hallowed ground, Lord Ram travelled to Lanka.
Modi is scheduled to conduct a pooja at the Sri Kothandarama Swamy temple. Kothandarama translates to “Rama with the bow.” The place is called Dhanushkodi. It is stated that Vibhishana, the brother of Ravana, encountered Lord Ram here for the first time and begged him for safety. According to certain stories, this is also the location where Lord Ram conducted Vibhishana’s coronation. These trips are very important since Modi will be at Ayodhya on Monday for the Ram Mandir pran-pratishtha.
The prime minister visited Sri Arulmigu Ramanathaswamy Temple in Rameswaram, the southern state, and Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple in Tiruchirappalli earlier on Saturday.
