1. Independence Day is a celebration of freedom. What does freedom mean to you as a woman in the fashion industry?
Answer: “Freedom is the gateway to success. Children love to dance, sing, and paint on walls. Some young girls enjoy exploring their mother’s makeup kit. They often take out items, especially lipstick, when their mother is out of sight. Discipline is necessary, but freedom helps children become more confident, creative, and successful later in life.
As a new entrant to the fashion industry, my suggestion would be to listen to the participants first and then make a decision. Freedom does not mean allowing people to do whatever they wish, especially if it harms the environment or society. Instead, people should be encouraged to express valuable thoughts and opinions that contribute positively to society, and such voices should be given a priority.
2. How do you think fashion can be used as a medium to express patriotism while still staying modern and stylish?
Answer:Patriotism is the profound love, pride, and devotion a person feels for their country. Traditional attire and fashion can make a person look elegant and stylish when they are worn with genuine love and respect for the nation. Similarly, modern fashion can also be presented in a graceful manner while maintaining simplicity, modesty, and dignity.
Patriotism does not always mean dressing in the colours of the national flag or wearing only traditional clothing. True patriotism is an inner feeling that can be expressed in many meaningful ways, such as presenting a skit, creating banners, or participating in activities that reflect deep love, respect, and pride for one’s country.
3. In your opinion, how does dressing well contribute to an individual’s confidence and personality?
Answer: Personality is the combination of a person’s inner behaviour, thoughts, feelings, values, and attitudes that makes them unique. It is reflected not only in how a person looks but also in how they think, speak, and treat others.
Proper dressing certainly contributes to confidence and creates a positive first impression. However, appearance alone does not define personality. If a person’s thought process is not mature, their behaviour is impolite, or they lack respect for others and for cultural or social values, then good dressing loses its significance.
For example, if a person is invited to light the ceremonial lamp at an inauguration—a gesture that symbolizes knowledge, positivity, and respect for tradition—but performs the act carelessly or without showing respect for its significance, it reflects a lack of understanding and values. In such a situation, even the finest attire cannot compensate for the absence of character. True personality is measured by one’s conduct, humility, respect, and values, not merely by outward appearance.
In essence, clothes may enhance confidence, but it is character, behaviour, and values that give a person a meaningful and lasting personality.
4. What message would you like to give to young people who wish to build confidence through their personal style?
Answer:Personal style is a way to express who you are, not a test you have to pass. Experiment with colors, cuts, and looks that genuinely appeal to you, but don’t feel pressured to dress for someone else’s approval. Trends change quickly; authenticity tends to have a much longer life.
It’s also worth remembering that confidence is built through actions as much as appearance. The way you speak, treat others, keep your commitments, and carry yourself often leaves a stronger impression than what you’re wearing. Style can support your confidence, but it doesn’t have to define your worth.
So my message to young people would be: wear what helps you feel like the best version of yourself, stay curious enough to try new things, and don’t be afraid if your style evolves over time. Your clothes can reflect your personality—but your character is what people remember most.
5) Independence means freedom of speech and expression to many .What are your thoughts on Freedom ?
Ans : Independence, according to me, is the ability to make my own choices based on my own values. It means being free from outside control, dependence, or undue influence.
Freedoms such as freedom of speech and freedom of expression are essential for a better society and a better quality of life. However, it is equally important to understand where to draw the line. Every freedom comes with responsibility, and exercising it in a way that respects the rights and dignity of others is essential.
6. What challenges have you faced in your journey, and how has confidence helped you overcome them?
Ans : The first challenge I faced was criticism from my relatives. At one point, I even thought of giving up my writing journey. However, my willpower, self-motivation, and my husband’s unwavering support kept me mentally strong, enthusiastic, and determined. My mother also encouraged me by giving me a notebook in which I could express my thoughts through writing.
Disappointed by the behaviour of my relatives, I went to Norway. There, I began writing my second book. From that point onward, I never stopped writing, and the result is forty published books. I firmly believe that failure and discouragement often teach us far more valuable lessons than immediate success ever can.
7) As an author, do you feel writing liberates you ? Are there any books you want to recommend to the readers ?
Ans :Writing is the gateway to an open mind, imagination, and intelligence. Becoming the author of 40 books across different genres has freed me from prejudices and taught me to look at the world with an open mind. In all my books, I have expressed my belief that love is the only way to truly reach people’s hearts.
There are many books I could recommend to readers, but my first book—my first child—”Where Love Begins:Vibhavari “remains incomparable to any other book in my world.
Recently, I received a heartfelt message from a reader about this book:
I am Kshiroda C. L.
Mam,
“I recently read Vibhavari. I understood it as the reflection of the anxieties of an immature girl—a woman whose life slipped away just when she had finally become free from responsibilities and had reached emotional maturity.
Many passages from Chapter 7 involuntarily filled my eyes with tears. I often had to close the book because I was unable to continue reading.
I even wished that, if there is a next birth and I am blessed with a baby girl, I wouldI would name her Vibhavari.
If someone unseen loves you, that alone is enough to make you smile and dream.
These are my thoughts. If I have made any mistakes, please forgive me.
Best wishes to Yashodhara Mam. You made it possible for me to read such a beautiful book, and I hope that only good things continue to happen to you again and again. “🙏
