Dr. Mihir Kumar Panda, a brilliant Civil Engineer, and a dexterous Innovator have been serving the Government of Odisha since 1996 with utmost sincerity and dedication. His excellent skill and maneuver have helped him to reach the zenith of his career.
Dr. Panda has founded a Novel Societal, Scientific & Educational Organization: SIMPLE INNOVATION “ SROSTI”, since 1996 at RK Integrated Farm Campus in his hometown Bahanaga, Balasore in Odisha.
SROSTI is a Social Development Research Organization for Science, Technology & Implementation. The Organization has been approved under the Society Registration Act XXI of 1960.
He has established the organization SROSTI with his own funds and local resources and single-handedly spearheaded the Scientific Movement in the State of Odisha for Public Outreach of Science Technology, Engineering & Mathematics (STEM) for the last 25 years.
He always puts his efforts to popularise science through music & songs and employing innovative demonstrative techniques in different parts of India without taking any fee from the agencies.
He is an extraordinary Passionate Person for the cause of science who started his Science Popularization Career to find out the practicability of Science Technology, and Engineering & Mathematics (STEM) in our day-to-day life. His selfless efforts of popularizing science among school children by participating in lots of television programs including the State Institute of Education & Training (SIET) and Doordarshan, is really praiseworthy.
Due to his unwearied services and priceless contributions towards the government and the society at large, Dr. Panda has been able to receive many awards and accolades including the National Award for 10,000 innovations and science popularisation from the Govt of India in 2020.
Inclusion of his name in the Limca Books of Record in 2021 was another great achievement for his contribution like 10,000 Teaching Aids and societal Innovations in 2020.
He was also awarded by the Indian Science Congress Association, an organization under Govt. of India in 2019 for his contribution to 10,000 innovations & 30,000 ideas and honored by Anandashree Organisation with the Title ‘Thomas Alva Edison of India’ in 2020.
His name was also included in the Overseas Gold Edition of the World Book of Records to be held in LONDON in 2021.
His selfless services to society will be remembered in the years to come. We wish him more success and well-being. May he be able to amaze society with more unique innovations and contributions.
