Technology is an enabler and this statement merits discussion in multiple phases because using technology is one aspect, while distorting facts is another.
The Advent of Technology:
We must consider ourselves blessed for having been born in decades when technologists were given a free hand to experiment and come up with technology sets that would bring convenience into the lives of billions.
The ability to connect someone from the most remote corners of the world to towns, cities, and megapolises across the world is perhaps the greatest blessing for humanity. Also, platforms for engagement, deliberations and opinion-sharing help build intellect and hone new intellectuals.

If you read the news or watch new-age media, you would have realized the prime time spots that digital transformation and tech-enabled products take, and how enamoured humanity is about selling products and services and creating value for people.
Yet, some undercurrents are disturbing the peaceful flow of technology in the direction of progress. The advent of AI is making lives easier, but challenging the livelihoods of many.
While AI has grown from a narrow understanding based on the training data and models used by systems, we are slowly moving towards AGI and Super Intelligence, which is being pipped as a threat to humanity, especially considering where it places humans in the entire scheme of things.
Modern corporations are incorporating AI into every function, every department and every digital product that they curate, because this helps leverage huge datasets and provide deeper insights into possibilities beyond comprehension, but with human minds in conjunction.
One of the biggest bets being taken with AI is the improved human intelligence-AI platforms collaboration, which is being seen as a sunshine moment for strong AI systems to emerge at a quicker pace.
The idea of improving AI tech learning and better proof of concepts can bring trust into each aspect. However, there must be a better job done in creating guardrails and frameworks to prevent the misuse of AI-based technologies.
As humanity, we botched up social media as a tool for empowerment, and now with AI at our fingertips, we need to consider the socioeconomic factors and educate people about using these technologies to our advantage and creating value for the future.
As a user and a member of the illustrious and industrious workforce, I believe our hearts must be bereft of malice and filled with copious amounts of empathy, acceptance and growth parameters. It’s the only way we can peruse AI for our benefit and keep it safe for our upcoming generations.
