TP Discoms Successfully Hosts Business Associates (BAs) Meet in Bhubaneswar, Odisha

Odisha’s TP utilities held the Odisha Services Business Associates (BAs) Meet in Bhubaneswar on August 31st, 2023. The meeting was open to all of the company’s significant partners who assist in the upkeep of the LT, 11 KV and 33KV networks, as well as PSS operations, project works, metre installations, metre readings, revenue collections, distribution transformer repairs, etc.
Arvind Singh, CEO of TP Central Odisha Distribution Limited (TPCODL), Bhaskar Sarkar, CEO of TP Northern Odisha Distribution Limited (TPNODL), and heads of all associated departments were present at the meeting as part of the senior leadership team of TP discoms.

The managing director of the Grid Corporation of Odisha (GRIDCO), Sri Trilochan Panda, attended the event. The event kicked off with opening remarks from the CEOs of TPCODL, TPNODL, and GRIDCO. After a presentation detailing the TP discoms’ procurement procedures, rules, etc., and their policy taken to support local BAs and notably MSMEs, the event concluded with an in-depth Q&A session with all of the participating BAs that lasted for over 2 hours.

With the goal of delivering world-class energy distribution services to the people of Odisha, the programme featured an exchange of various improvement ideas, proposals, etc. The issues, clarification points, etc., expressed by BAs were addressed and recorded by the TP discoms. The CEO of TPCODL, Arvind Singh, has asked the BAs to follow the recommendations, saying that TP discoms are totally dedicated to implementing standard safety practises, quality norms, legislative compliances, and timely delivery of projects. In addition, he thanked the Odisha BAs for their constant help after the recent flood and Kalbaishakhi.
TP discoms are committed to promoting Odisha BAs, as stated by Bhaskar Sarkar, CEO of TPNODL. TP discoms prefer to award the bulk of supply & services works to local BAs, with due consideration given to the tender conditions, tender qualification status, etc.
Management at the TP discom said they planned to have more events and activities like this in the future.
