Dublin Airport officials reported that upon its arrival, the airplane received assistance from emergency services, including Airport Police and Fire and Rescue, following reports of injuries from six passengers and six crew members, totaling 12 individuals. The injuries occurred due to turbulence experienced while the aircraft was flying over Turkey.
This incident follows closely after another turbulence-related event, where a Singapore Airlines flight traveling from London to Singapore was compelled to make an emergency landing in Bangkok. The turbulence caused the aircraft to descend rapidly by 6,000 feet within five minutes, resulting in the tragic death of a 73-year-old British man and leaving 20 others in critical condition, requiring intensive care.
