Six persons, including two prime accused, have been arrested for their involvement in the murder of Krushna Chandra Pratihari, a senior servitor at the Jagannath temple in Puri.
According to the reports, the prime accused have been identified as Kalia Singhari and Dalagobinda Singhari. The other arrested persons are Kalu Panigrahi, Baba Mahapatra, Muna Patra, and Sandeep Jena.
Puri SP Kanwar Vishal Singh informed that Kalia and Dalagobinda had paid around Rs 2 lakh to Kalu for conspiring and gathering manpower for the crime. Baba is one of the four persons who were present on the murder spot.
Muna had supplied the pistol for committing the crime and Sandeep was in charge of planning a hideout and escape plan for the perpetrators. Singh further said that some accused will be brought on remand to recreate the crime scene. Meanwhile, Rs 1.5 lakh has been recovered from Kalu and raids are underway to nab the remaining six accused persons.
