The Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan inaugurated two Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) in Odisha’s Angul district. He dedicated the KVs, built with funds from Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL), in the Jagannath and Subhadra areas under Talcher sub-division. He also performed ‘Bhumi Pujan’ for the construction of a permanent building of KV in Jagannath area.
According to the reports, Pradhan said the establishment of two new Kendriya Vidyalayas in Talcher would brighten the future of local students and they can contribute to development of the areas. The two institutions will not only help the local workers but also enable the people displaced by mines, youths and women to become self-sufficient after undergoing training.
In the coming days, plans are being made to develop the education infrastructure. Also, the ITI in Talcher will be transformed into a large educational institution. The MCL Vocational Training Center will be developed at the Skill Development Center, stated Pradhan.
