The Union Minister of India Shri Dharmendra Pradhan had a conversation with the Minies minister of Odisha Pralhad Joshi in order to discuss several coal-related issues the state is facing.
In the course of the meeting with Pralhad Joshi in New Delhi, Dharmendra Pradhan drew the attention of the Mines Minister to the financial problems faced by the truck owners’ association in the transportation of minerals in Angul and Kolad. Pradhan called for the Centre’s intervention in streamlining the transportation of aluminium in trucks from Nalco. The expansion of the Nalco smelter plant was also figured in the discussion.
Pradhan sought implementation of the recommendation of the high-level committee for a substantial increase in daily wages of contract labourers engaged in coal mines in the state.
Pradhan wanted the personal intervention of the Mines Minister in ensuring the development of the people of Odisha. After hearing all the points of Dharmendra Pradhan, Joshi assured him of looking into the issues and taking steps to resolve those.
