Unleashing the power of entrepreneurship, Poonam Mahapatra: The current Chairperson of FLO (FICCI Ladies Organization) Odisha Chapter. She has been actively involved in promoting women’s entrepreneurship and professional excellence in the state of Odisha, well before assuming the top post of FICCI, she has earned a reputation for giving wings to aspiring entrepreneurs and advocated for social networking & its fabric for better grooming & prospectives in living a better lifestyle.

Under Poonam’s leadership, FLO Odisha has been organizing several nitiatives to support and promote women entrepreneurs, including training and skill-building programs, networking events, and advocacy campaigns.
She has always been working towards creating a supportive ecosystem for women entrepreneurs in Odisha by collaborating with various stakeholders, including government agencies, businesses, and NGOs.
Of late,she has done an anchor role in organizing a panel discussion on “Prevention of occupational health hazards and diseases at the workplace” here. The panel experts discussed various health hazards that occur in the mining, manufacturing, IT, hospitals, and construction sectors under the banner of FICCI FLO.

It is a non-governmental organization based in India that works towards promoting and protecting the interests of Indian businesses. It was established in 1927 and has since become one of India’s largest and most influential business organizations.
FLO (FICCI Ladies Organization) FLO Odisha is the state-level chapter of FLO, and it works towards empowering women in Odisha by providing them with a platform to network, learn, and grow.
Q1.Many Congratulations for anointing you as the chairperson of Flo by FICCI Odisha. How do you devote your valuable time to make a real impact on the ground?
Thank you so much, but It is the toughest thing actually being a woman, and being a family person, we have many obligations, but this FICCI FLO ladies’ organization is your responsibility which I have. FICCI Ladies’ organization defines a director that we have various verticals. Time management is the toughest part effective time management is essential for me to successfully manage my responsibilities and achieve my goals for the organization. By prioritizing tasks, delegating responsibilities, using time-blocking techniques, and leveraging technology.
Q2: How the idea is germinated in you to become a social activist and philanthropist?
To become social activists due to personal experiences, exposure to societal issues, or a desire to bring about positive change. Many social activists are motivated by a passion for making a difference in the world and a commitment to creating a more just and equitable society.
Q3.What is your vision for Odisha by 2030?
The vision of Odisha by 2030 is to create a vibrant, inclusive, and sustainable society, where every citizen has access to opportunities and high quality of life And focus on promoting inclusive economic growth, gender equality, skill development, and environmental sustainability to create a prosperous and sustainable future for all citizens of Odisha.
Q4: You are an inspiration as a successful entrepreneur in the State, what kind of ideas do you want to infuse among those young entrepreneurs to become successful?
Successful entrepreneurs can serve as role models and mentors for young entrepreneurs, providing valuable insights and guidance to help them navigate the challenges of starting and growing a business. Focus on solving real problems, building a strong team, and focusing on continuous learning.
