- Could you provide us with some insights into the inspiration behind your books, “The Cloning Conspiracy” and “The Preservers of Secret” and how your background in corporate leadership influences your writing?
Ans: Since childhood, I have been a fan of thrillers. Therefore, when I started exploring and nurturing my story telling skills, that was a natural choice of genre. To make my novels more interesting and intriguing for the readers, I decided to add the element of ‘facts blended with fiction’. That called for humongous research work, which actually has been the major contributor towards the success of my novels. My academics and corporate skills supplemented my research work, as I had to demonstrate the patience and intelligence to navigate through relevant details during my research and seamlessly infusing the same in my story. As a storyteller I also had to be cautious of not to overdo things.
My creativity actually acts as an oxygen to my professional life, where I find solace in and during my writings from my hectic professional schedule.
2.Your books have garnered widespread acclaim and have become bestsellers. What do you think sets those apart from other thrillers in the market, particularly in terms of its scientific elements in case of the first one and its historical and mythological elements in case of the second one?
Ans: Thank you for the question, as it gives me an opportunity to analyse and speak out my heart in parallel. As I mentioned earlier, one of the biggest strengths of my books is the amount of research work that goes behind it and the literary blend it creates between facts and fiction. Even my readers have mentioned the same in their numerous reviews. I also keep in mind the conclusion and try to stick to a practical line rather than making it supernatural or at times impractical. That connects the readers well. Another important contributor in my novels is the pace at which I navigate. I always keep it fast yet well balanced with twists. I also choose characters in a way that my readers are able to connect with one or more of them. That adds to the success of my storyline and keeps my readers glued to the story.
3.The Rashtriya Pratibha Samman exhibition recognized your literary contribution. How has this recognition impacted your journey as an author, and what message do you aim to convey through your work?
Ans: Certainly it’s an honour to be recognised at ‘The Rashtriya Pratibha Samman’. It has been a huge motivation for me and has added to my confidence level as a writer. It has also given me the message that I am on the right track and I need to create more for my readers. The hunger to bring out more as an author has increased in me and currently I have started working on my next one.
4.Your storytelling seamlessly blends historical facts with mythical elements. How do you ensure accuracy while infusing fictional elements into your narratives?
Ans: Humongous research work is the secret behind maintaining the accuracy of facts while infusing fictional elements. I am also careful of not overdoing the infusion of research work which may potentially spoil the plot and the essence of the thriller.

6.As a reader, what can one expect from diving into “The Cloning Conspiracy” and “The Preservers of Secret”? Could you tease us with a memorable moment or character from one of the books ?
Ans: The Cloning Conspiracy is a Science fiction and the readers can expect a modern day thriller amalgamated with the lesser known facts about human cloning and its dangerous consequences if misused. I have given it a political backdrop to make it more interesting.
‘The Preservers of Secret’ is more close to my heart as I have worked on this plot for 4 years. Researching, visiting places and more importantly writing and rewriting the story, introducing new angles and elements of surprises as the story progressed. As an author, I became a part of the protagonist, therefore, emotionally I am more attached to this one.
The story runs in parallel lines where the protagonist tries to dig out the truth behind the murder of his mentor and also in a larger scale takes a journey through the codes given to him by his mentor while breathing his last. In this journey he (and the readers) gets to know multiple historical facts, advancement of science and technology thousands of years ago including the existence of one of the most ancient secret societies of the world. The intellect of the protagonist is challenged at every stage while he fights against time and odds to save the world from destruction. During the journey to discover the hidden truth, he realises the importance, principles and power of the age long secret society.
7.What advice would you give to aspiring writers who aspire to achieve both commercial success and critical acclaim in the literary world?
Ans : It is an arduous task to achieve commercial success and critical acclaim simultaneously. However, it is not impossible. Therefore, I would suggest aspiring writers to focus on their creative skills and stick to their intuition keeping the commercial factor aside. Pour out your heart and your best narrative skills in your work. Do justice to your characters and the overall storyline. Don’t think of success or failure while you write but also do some market research on the current choice of readers. Do not target commercial benefit from day one and do not fear criticism either. Be a self critic and improvise accordingly. In the end, if you as a writer are happy, be rest assured, you have done a good job and will fetch you desired results.
